During the several months when Coronavirus lockdown locked me out of my studio, I worked from home on a series of paintings which reconnected me with my original love of pure watercolour.
Out of this has come a body of work, an example of which appears on the right, in which I have re-envisioned themes and styles in my practice over 30 years. The fruit of this process forms the bulk of my solo exhibition at the Open Eye Gallery, Edinburgh, running from 3 to 21 November 2020.

In addition, my work is part of the On a Small Scale exhibition at the same gallery.
I am also still offering classes. A limited programme is available through the Edinburgh Drawing School. Finally, I have been creating a set of step-by-step lessons to be shared on line. Should you be interested, please feel free to contact me through the tab above.
In January 2018, I won Glasgow Arts Club Prize at the Open-SSA and VAS Together 2018 and the W.Gordon Smith and Mrs Jay Gordonsmith Award at the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour (RSW).
